Paul Adams is CEO of EverEdge Global, the world’s leading intangible asset advisory, valuation and transaction firm.
EverEdge helps companies to unlock their competitive edge and investors to improve investment returns by identifying, valuing and monetising intangible assets and reducing intangible asset risk. Founded in 2008, EverEdge has successfully completed over 750 client engagements across the United States, Europe, Asia and Australasia. EverEdge clients include Fortune 100 corporations, major investors, national governments, research institutes and ambitious start-ups. In 2017 the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore entered into an alliance with EverEdge to assist Singaporean companies to exploit their intangible assets. EverEdge’s practice is multi-disciplinary and embraces the full range of intangible assets: content, data, code, patents, brand, domain names and trade secrets. Although EverEdge employs patent attorneys, the firm does not file patents or trademarks, ensuring it provides clients with a unique, independent and strategic perspective on their intangible asset holdings, opportunities and risks. It delivers deep expertise, commercial experience and impartiality.
Before founding EverEdge, Mr Adams served as IP manager for Brunswick New Technologies Inc, headquartered in Chicago (NYSE: BC), where he was responsible for the IP outputs of 400 engineers and scientists. Before Brunswick New Technologies, Mr Adams was the founding incubator manager of the Icehouse technology incubator. Forbes named the Icehouse one of the top 10 incubators in the world and was the only incubator outside the United States to earn this recognition.
Mr Adams holds degrees in law (cum laude), specialising in software licensing law, and economics and history from the University of Auckland. He is a previous director of Lewis Holdings Ltd (a $350 million investment vehicle) and was appointed by the New Zealand Cabinet to the Advisory Board of Callaghan Innovation (the New Zealand government’s commercialisation vehicle). He is an advisory board member of the McDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology. He is a frequent speaker at innovation, commercialisation and IP conferences globally.
