Vinita Radhakrishnan is a senior partner at BananaIP Counsels, and heads the firm’s pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and chemistry practice. She is an internationally recognised life sciences and pharmaceutical patent agent and attorney with more than 15 years’ experience in the field. She has significant in-house experience in helping pharma companies strategise, protect and license intellectual property. She works with a portfolio of clients across the world on international patent strategy, filing and protection.
Ms Radhakrishnan has authored a book on patent law and practice, published by Oxford University Press. She holds a master’s in health sciences from the University of Pune and an LLM in IP law from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Centre, Germany. During her brief stint as a researcher at Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, she worked in the area of pharmaceutical innovation and patent law in developing countries. Her current research focuses on patent prosecution strategies for inventions relating to molecular biology.
