Bruno Nunes is a registered lawyer in Macau and Portugal. He is also registered with INTA and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
Mr Nunes started handling IP matters in 2002 as director of the legal department of Macau’s Fourth East Asian Games Organising Committee, where he was responsible for the Games’ trademark prosecution strategy across East Asia and devising and running the anti-ambush marketing and counterfeit prevention during the Games.
Mr Nunes advises international clients on best practices and how to adapt strategy in line with Macau, the biggest gaming and luxury jurisdiction in the world. He also has a strong focus on litigation and best practice strategies related to famous and well-known marks and gaming patents.
Mr Nunes is an adjunct lecturer of the faculty of business and law of Macau’s University of Saint Joseph and regularly speaks to MBA programmes in IP matters. He is also the author of the Macau chapters for World’s Leading Financial and Trust Centres (Heritage Group, 2014; and Sweet & Maxwell, 2010), as well as Product Liability in the Asia Pacific (third edition, Federation Press 2009).
