Audrey Yap is a lawyer, patent attorney and managing partner at regional law firm Yusarn Audrey LLC, headquartered in Singapore, which offers IP drafting and filing for integrated IP portfolio development and commercialisation services, licensing and contract support, legal services and dispute resolution all as part of a suite of IP solutions with a focus on IP strategies in Asia. She is also a TUV SUD certified professional management consultant.

Ms Yap is a member of the WIPO World Economic Forum international steering committee for the Inventor Assistance Programme. In May 2022 she was appointed to the joint CCPIT and China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) IP Committee. She is the chair of the Singapore Innovation and Productivity Institute.
Ms Yap is honorary treasurer of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation and elected council member. She is also council member of the Workforce Advancement Federation
From 2018 to 2020, Ms Yap served on the board of Enterprise Singapore, a key agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry helping companies to develop capabilities, innovate and seize international opportunities. She also served on the Innovation and Enterprise Industry Expert Panel for the National Research Foundation under the prime minister’s office 2014 to 2015. Ms Yap was board director IP Office of Singapore (IPOS) from 2015 to March 2022.
Ms Yap was appointed IP expert for several international and regional WIPO projects, including high-level international expert panel on global technology transfer under the WIPO Development Agenda. She has championed harnessing technology and intellectual property for business growth in SMEs as member SME Committee for the Singapore Business Federation. Ms Yap was IP consultant in several EU trade-related technical assistance programmes in Asia.
Ms Yap is a past president of LES International and legal counsel for the Franchise and Licensing Association Singapore. She has served as independent director of a Singapore listed company in the food manufacturing sector since 2014.
