Principal at Charles River Associates
Sean Sheridan is a principal in the IP practice at Charles River Associates. He has more than a decade of experience working with various aspects of the IP value chain, including the development, valuation, commercialisation and strategic management of intellectual property. Dr Sheridan has provided financial consulting services for a variety of purposes, including IP-related litigation, transaction due diligence, licence negotiations and strategic decision making. He has also negotiated numerous licences and other agreements with companies ranging from Fortune 500 firms to start-ups.
Dr Sheridan has worked on a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, handheld mobile devices, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, automotive technologies, computer software and hardware, paints and coatings, insurance and financial products and electronic health records.
Dr Sheridan’s litigation experience includes analysis of damages related to patent infringement and breach of contract, analysis of commercial success and analysis of domestic industry in the context of Section 337 investigations.
Prior to working as a consultant, Dr Sheridan was an assistant director at the University of Chicago’s technology transfer office. His scientific research has been published in Genes & Development, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Nucleic Acids Research.
