Ludvig Holm is one of the founding partners of Westerberg. His practice focuses on contentious IP matters, mainly patent and trademark litigation. In recent years, Mr Holm has been involved in some of the highest profile cases in Sweden and in a wide range of industry sectors. Recent patent matters include acting for clients in the biotechnology, construction, consumer goods, explosives, financial technology software, pharmaceutical, power tools and power transmission industry sectors.
Since the beginning of his career, he has been constantly involved in active cases in the life sciences sector, including advising in relation to supplementary protection certificates and regulatory matters in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
In addition to representing clients in litigation before the Swedish Patent and Market Courts and the Supreme Court, Mr Holm has also represented and advised clients in patent opposition proceedings before the Swedish Patent Office and the EPO, as well as in licence agreement arbitrations. On the non-contentious side, he relies on his experience in arbitration and litigation when drafting and analysing licence agreements and providing advice in relation to potential freedom-to-operate inquiries and transactions.
Mr Holm is a board member of the Swedish Anti-Counterfeiting Group and regularly advises clients on both contentions and non-contentious aspects of advertising, brand protection and anti-counterfeiting.
