Jing He is a specialised legal practitioner with nearly 21 years’ experience in handling complex China litigation, IP, antitrust, policy advocacy and compliance matters. He started his legal career as a US patent attorney at Fenwick & West and spent about nine years at Baker & McKenzie. A number of his cases were listed as top intellectual property cases by Chinese judiciary authorities. Major industrial associations often consult with Mr He on China legal and policy matters.
Mr He has been actively contributing leadership in education and legal professions. Mr He is the appointed adviser for the LLM programme at Peking University School of IP and Tsinghua University School of Law. Mr He is secretary general of the Sports IP Committee of the China IP Law Society and vice chairman of the Legal Committee of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) (2015-2020). He now serves as special adviser and legal counsel to Eco-Forum Global, the very first China national foundation in green development. He is also a member of World Commission on Environmental Law. He has been actively following the legislative changes on environmental laws in China. Mr He specialises in cross-border technology licensing and policy consulting in sustainable development fields. In 2015-2016, he wrote the IPR guide for US China Clean Energy Forum (CERC) and edited the China version of the Lambert Toolkit for United Kington IP Office.
Mr He is passionate about making policy changes and contributing to rule of law reforms in China. He is currently carrying out a US-China Intellectual Property Dialogue where top US and China experts convene and deliver roadmap documents for China intellectual property reforms. He also leads the policy programmes as the executive director of Beijing Zhongguancun (ZGC) Intellectual Property Strategy Research Institute.
Mr He was selected as a Recommended Intellectual Property Lawyer by Chambers Asia-Pacific Guide and Managing Intellectual Property. Mr He is also recognised as a Leading Intellectual Property Individual by LEGALBAND and Asialaw. Other industrial awards he has received include the World’s Leading Trademark Professionals from WTR, a Recommended Intellectual Property Lawyer in The Legal 500 and the Client Choice Awards by Lexology.
Mr He founded AnJie Law Firm in 2012 and is currently a member of its executive committee. Mr He is admitted to the State Bar of California and in the PRC. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with his juris doctor in 2000 and obtained his LLB and BSc from Peking University in 1997.
