François Lepelletier-Beaufond is a French and European patent attorney and graduate engineer of the Ecole Catholique des Arts et Métiers, Lyon. He also holds an MBA from EDHEC-IEFSI.

Mr Lepelletier-Beaufond has more than 33 years of experience in the patent field. After working as a consultant in energy management for a government agency, he joined what was then Rinuy, Santarelli in 1985 where he became a partner in 1999.

Mr Lepelletier-Beaufond handles a wide range of fields including mechanical, electrical, electronic and information technologies. He is experienced in automotive, aeronautical, agricultural and wine-making equipment, electrical appliances and infrastructure, power and control electronics, packaging, biological processing, medical devices, optics and physics.

Mr Lepelletier-Beaufond’s practice includes patent drafting and prosecution, freedom-to-operate studies, IP audits, licensing, patent searches and watching, as well as oppositions and patent litigation.
