Christopher A Seidl is a partner in Robins Kaplan’s IP and technology litigation group. Nationally recognised for his superior client service, Mr Seidl has earned a reputation for being deeply attuned to the legal and business issues facing his clients. Companies of all sizes have retained him to resolve some of their most complex and sensitive matters.
Mr Seidl has been lead counsel in every type of IP dispute, including patent infringement, copyright infringement, trademark infringement and trade secret. He has tried several patent cases to verdict, including a patent trial win that was upheld by the US Supreme Court. In addition to his courtroom experience, Mr Seidl has extensive experience in the boardroom and at the negotiating table, and he uses that experience to lead large licensing campaigns. He also has experience assisting clients with IP due diligence for patent acquisitions and investments, and building monetisation campaigns to maximise value and return on investment.
Mr Seidl leads the firm’s global business and technology sourcing dispute resolution practice. He helps clients (customers and providers) avoid outsourcing disputes and helps resolve disputes when they arise. He has handled disputes involving a broad variety of sourcing arrangements, including IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing, application development and management, enterprise resource planning, and software development and implementation. He is a recognised voice and thought leader on sourcing issues, and he has been published in The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.
