Anton Pfau is a partner at Grünecker whose practice focuses on patent prosecution and litigation. He specialises in semiconductors, photolithography and laser technology, as well as wind turbines and medical devices. He is particularly experienced with EPO opposition and appeal procedures, as well as patent invalidation proceedings before the German Federal Patent Court.

He studied physics at the Technical University of Munich and obtained his PhD in physics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, after which he completed a two-year research fellowship for advanced studies in semiconductor process technology and photolithography at the University of Berkeley.

Dr Pfau is qualified as both a German and European patent attorney, as well as a European trademark and design attorney. He is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and the Optical Society of America.
