Ana-Laura Morales has been working in IP litigation for 10 years, having gained a master’s in IP law from ESADE Law School in 2011 and a master’s in legal business consulting from the Garrigues Study Centre. Prior to this, she graduated in law from the University of Barcelona in 2008 and was admitted to the Barcelona Bar Association in 2008.
Ms Morales’s practice currently focuses mainly on patents and in particular mechanical and electronic patents. She works with some of the firm’s key clients in the patent contentious area. Some of her most recent work includes successfully defending a multinational food and beverage company’s coffee capsule patent, the enforcement of electronic patents relating to streaming technology and the defence of a patent for a global healthcare company’s drug dispenser machine. She represents companies from a broad spectrum of industries, including electronics, telecoms, household goods, food and beverages, healthcare and renewable energies.
She also works on pre-litigation matters and in advisory and strategic matters for her clients.
She has been invited to speak about patent matters at patent specialised forums and she writes regularly for international IP publications on IP litigation matters. She speaks Spanish, English and Catalan.
