OlarteMoure began operations on July 14, 2003, when Carlos R. Olarte decided to leave his position as a partner in an international law firm in Bogotá, to forge new horizons that would allow him to provide his clients with a better and more efficient legal service in the intellectual property areas. Likewise, in 2004 Juan G. Moure left the public sector, after several years in the administration of the industrial property system, and joined the Firm to also incorporate a useful vision from the official perspective.
Thanks to the trust that several companies had in the work carried out by the OlarteMoure work team, and by its partners, an excellent practice was quickly consolidated, not only in the area of patents and plant varieties, but also in trademarks, unfair competition , sanitary registries, copyrights, restrictive practices of competition, and several other issues that allow us today to provide all services related to intellectual property, with special emphasis on the defense of such rights.
OlarteMoure has a team of more than one hundred people, including six partners, five area directors, eight managers, twenty-three coordinators and more than fifty associates. In support of this great growth, and for the benefit of our clients, in 2010 we inaugurated our new and modern offices in two spacious architectural conservation houses, located in the traditional La Merced neighborhood in downtown Bogotá. Additionally, we have offices in Medellín, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali and Tokyo.
