Guy Yonay is a senior partner in Pearl Cohen’s US IP litigation and US commercial litigation groups. With nearly 25 years of experience, Mr Yonay focuses his practice on patent litigation in the computer software and hardware fields, as well as trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation. In addition, Mr Yonay has substantial experience resolving complex disputes out of court, through mediation and arbitration. Mr Yonay is also registered with the USPTO and represents clients in inter partes reviews and other adversarial proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr Yonay has litigated cases in a wide range of technologies, including computer vision, image analysis, virtual computing systems, telecommunications hardware and software, and consumer devices. In addition to technology-focused cases, Mr Yonay has diverse experience as a litigator, having litigated commercial disputes such as unfair competition, business defamation and other business torts.
Mr Yonay received his law degree from Harvard Law School (1996) and his BEEE in electrical engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art (1993). He is admitted to practise in New York and California, as well as the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr Yonay works out of Pearl Cohen’s New York and Tel Aviv offices.
