Ann Henry leads the IP and data litigation team for Pinsent Masons in Dublin. She has acted on many of the leading patent litigation and trademark cases to come before Ireland’s Commercial Court and is particularly experienced in international cross-border disputes. She has a strong sectoral knowledge of life sciences, technology and energy and is highly regarded for her skills in the area of litigation strategy and for delivering results.
Ms Henry was chair of the Intellectual Property and Data Protection Committee of the Law Society of Ireland from 2016 until 2018. She has been involved in numerous IP policy initiatives at national and EU level. She is a member of the Irish Government’s Data Forum, which sits in the Department of the Taoiseach (ie, head of government) and considers data-related issues relevant to the development of Ireland’s digital economy. She was a member of the steering committee for the Dublin Digital Summit 2019, which attracted leading international figures in technology and data to Dublin. She chaired a panel at the Dublin International Arbitration Day 2019 on the topic of “Innovations in Technology – how they affect international arbitration”. She has spoken on a number of occasions at the Privacy + Security Forum in Washington.
