Chinese Patent Attorney, Attorney-at-Law, China Patent Agent (HK) Ltd

Mr. Ma received his Bachelor's degree of Engineering in Measurement and Control Technology and Instrument from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2011 and his Master's degree of Science in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom) in 2013.  He received his Master's degree of Intellectual Property from University of New Hampshire School of Law (United States) in 2014.  He passed the USPTO registration examination (the patent bar) in the United States in 2015 and the National patent attorney qualification examination in China in 2016.  In 2019, he passed the China Legal professional qualification examination.  Mr. Ma worked as an intern for Scully, Scott, Murphy & Presser PC (New York, United States) in 2015.  He then returned to China and joined China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. in the same year.  

Mr. Ma’s practice emphasizes patent prosecution, reexamination and invalidation in a range of sectors including semiconductor, integrated circuit, computer science, and optical communication technologies.  He is also well experienced in drafting and prosecuting patent applications overseas.

Mr. Ma is a member of the Standing Committee on Enforcement of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
