Boukje van der Maazen (admitted to the bar in 2017) is a litigator specializing in complex litigation in the field of patent and competition law. She has extensive experience litigating international patent disputes before the Dutch Courts, with a focus on standard essential patents (FRAND) and pharma / biotech. Boukje also handles (collective) stand-alone and follow-on actions.
Boukje regularly (co-)authors blogs and articles about current issues in her field.
After a student internship at Brinkhof in 2016, Boukje started working at the firm in 2017. She studied Law at the University of Amsterdam and Columbia Law School (New York). Boukje also completed a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies at the University of Amsterdam. During her studies Boukje worked as a court clerk at the District Court of Amsterdam.
