Aline Ferreira de Carvalho da Silva is an expert in litigation, legal counselling on patents, licence agreements, plant varieties and genetic resources. She is currently handling lawsuits concerning monoclonal antibodies and has advised companies on plant variety agreements.

She is a coordinator of the International Law of Intellectual Property Study Committee at the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property.

Ms Ferreira de Carvalho da Silva graduated in law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, has a master’s in IP law from the University of Cambridge and was a postgraduate in IP law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
