Adam has recently been involved in complex IP contentious cases and he represented Exeltis before the Court of Justice of the European Union in the matter C-688/17 Bayer referred in the article. Ádám has acquired unique expertise in patent litigation in the past years. He published last year in IAM innovation yearbook “London Agreement – no preliminary injunction in lack of full Hungarian translation”
The Legal 500, WTR 1000 and IAM Patent 1000 have each recognised his legal talents, and the International Financial Law Review named him a Rising Star Europe in 2020 in the trademark category. Dr György is a member of the Council of Experts on Industrial Property and the Council of Copyright Experts in Hungary.
Adam holds an LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property and Competition Law from Munich Intellectual Property Law Center. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at ELTE University, where his reasearc field is functionality doctrine in trademark and design law. He authored Hungarian chapter of the Design Rights: Functionality and Scope of Protection (AIPPI). He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences from Munich through Alicante to Lima. He is also an active member of the legal profession and, as a mentor, he helps young designers and start-uppers. In 2018 he was elected to the New Membership Committee of the Budapest Bar Association. He is also a mentor of the Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency and the leader of the Legal Committee of Young Entrepreneurs Association Hungary.
