Meet the convergence challenge at IPBC Global 2017
The pre-eminent gathering of the world’s top IP business leaders – IPBC Global – will be celebrating its 10th anniversary from 18th to 20th June 2017 at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.
Since the first IPBC Global in Amsterdam in 2008, the event has established itself as the place where IP business leaders gather each year to discuss the cutting-edge issues that affect IP value creation strategies. Under the banner “Meeting the convergence challenge”, it will be no different in 2017.
IPBC Global’s 2017 programme will explore how technology convergence has transformed the way in which companies across a wide range of industries do business and the challenges this poses for their IP value creation strategies.
What’s more, the event will also focus on key policy developments in Europe and North America, and hone in on the views of the C-suite with keynote presentations from senior executives running cutting-edge businesses. And if all that were not enough, we’ll be asking a team of global IP market leaders to predict how things will look in 2020 and to explain what you should be doing now to prepare accordingly.
To ensure this will be like no previous IPBC Global, we have introduced a range of fresh and exciting new session formats, including:
Internet of Things and patent sales
“How to be Brilliant” on in-house IP management and licensing
Practical knowledge
IPBC Global will offer unparalleled opportunities to discuss cutting-edge issues and to network with the senior decision makers who make the global IP weather.
Sector quotas
The last IPBC Global took place in Barcelona in June 2016 and attracted a sell-out crowd of over 550 attendees. It has become standard IPBC policy to operate a sector quota system in order to maintain a balanced delegate base with a strong representation from corporates. For IPBC 2017, we will once again be maintaining strict quotas for the following:
Intermediaries and investors
NPEs and aggregators
Policy makers and academics
Private practice lawyers, patent and trademark attorneys
Other service providers
No limit is imposed on attendees from operating companies.
Once the quota limits have been reached, we will be unable to offer a place at IPBC Global 2017 to those from the relevant sector looking to register for the event. Demand for places is high; thus, anyone wishing to attend is strongly advised to register as early as possible.
