A patent infringement suit can be filedwith the Helsinki District Court, which hasexclusive jurisdiction in patent mattersat first instance. If the situation is urgent(eg, due to an imminent threat of patentinfringement), an application for aninjunction can be filed with the same courtbefore filing a patent infringement suit. Thecourt can rule on an ex parte injunction withina few days without hearing the opposingparty, provided that sufficient grounds arepresented by the patent holder.
