Ralph Nack - Noerr LLP
Ralph Nack is a partner of Noerr LLP, a leading German full-service law firm, and co-heads its patent group, based in Munich.
Dr Nack is ranked as a leading German attorney, specialising in contentious and non-contentious IP matters. On the non-contentious side, his practice includes advice on innovative IP licensing and monetisation systems, IP-based financing solutions, IP-based tax solution, technology transfer and IP valuation. On the contentious side, he handles national and cross-border patent litigation cases and licensing disputes. He advises clients in all fields of technology, with a focus on electronics, telecommunications, medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
Dr Nack studied law in Heidelberg, Munich, Washington DC (George Washington University) and Tokyo (Todai University). He received his PhD in patent law from the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich. Before joining private practice, he served as the founding programme director of the Munich Intellectual Property Law Centre (MIPLC). As an attorney, Dr Nack lived in China for over a year, handling international patent litigations.
Dr Nack is a lecturer of patent law at the University of Heidelberg and at the MIPLC, and is the author of many scientific publications in the field of patent law. He regularly speaks at international conferences, and serves as assistant reporter general of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
