Grant Moss - Adapt IP Ventures LLC
Grant Moss is the founder and president of Adapt IP Ventures – an IP transaction and advisory firm that assists innovative firms in selling, licensing and acquiring patents, technology and other IP assets, as well as IP valuation-related engagements. Throughout his career, Mr Moss has successfully developed and led patent sales, licensing and investment programmes across a diverse set of industries, generating multimillion-dollar returns for his clients and partners. His experience ranges from transaction-related engagements to IP valuation for acquisition, fundraising and litigation-related programmes.
Mr Moss defined the methodology that differentiates Adapt IP Ventures from other firms. Knowing that each transaction can be unique, Adapt IP Ventures creates and executes custom strategies for each engagement to successfully evaluate, build, sell and license patents and other IP assets. With this mindset, Mr Moss and Adapt IP Ventures help to build and fund client IP portfolios, manage IP marketing and sales processes and oversee general business development functions for technology transfer.
Mr Moss has won multiple awards for his research on IP management related to university technology transfer offices and bankrupt technology companies. Research papers include “The market for the acquisition of university-derived royalty streams” (Association of University Technology) and “Patent activity in bankrupt technology firms: an empirical and case-based study” (Turnaround Management Association). Additionally, he has spoken before numerous university audiences on topics including technology strategy, licensing and entrepreneurship.
Before founding Adapt IP Ventures, Mr Moss was a director at patent brokerage firm IPinvestments Group LLC and an associate at IPAC LLC. Mr Moss also previously worked with InteCap Inc (now part of CRA International).
Mr Moss earned an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a dual concentration in finance and entrepreneurship and a BBA from Georgia State University with a concentration in finance.
