Satoshi Konno - IP Bridge, Inc
Satoshi Konno leads the innovation division of IP Bridge, where he oversees Japanese and global business development and expansion, with a focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and universities holding technological edges. His team not only invests in promising technology ventures, but also conducts IP management and development consultancy for those ventures to maximise the value of their intellectual property and equity. His expertise covers a wide range of industries, including information technology, communications, electronics, finance, food, healthcare, agri-business and other industries.
Before joining IP Bridge, Mr Konno was the co-founder of Morphlabs, Inc, a US venture company specialising in cloud platform software globally, with an emphasis on Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Before Morphlabs, Mr Konno worked at CSK Venture Capital, the oldest venture capital firm in Japan, where he served as general manager of the overseas investment division. He was deeply involved as a board member with his portfolio companies based in the United States, Israel, Korea, France and the Philippines, achieving more than 10 successful M&As and initial public offerings. Mr Konno began his career as an IT network and database engineer at CSK (now SCSK), one of the largest independent system integration companies in Japan, where he remained for over 10 years. Mr Konno uses his technical, financial and entrepreneurial skills from these experiences to incubate and accelerate his portfolio companies today.
Mr Konno obtained his bachelor’s in international economics from Yokohama National University and his MBA, with a strong focus on technology venture financing, from the University of Texas at Austin, the McCombs School of Business.
