He has been active in patent brokerage for over 12 years. Mr Monk lives in Silicon Valley, where he has held marketing and product management roles in technology leaders and start-up ventures. At Hewlett-Packard, he facilitated the creation of the company’s value-added reseller channel; and at ROLM Corporation he rose to the level of group product manager, overseeing the company’s telecommunications switching products.

Mr Monk has participated actively in new venture formation and angel investor forums, where he has been called on to advise start-ups, investors and government agencies on the commercialisation of technology and the monetisation of intellectual property.
