Larry Harris has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (2011), a JD from Santa Clara University (2000) and BSc degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics from the Southern Methodist University (1997).
Mr Harris founded Athorus with the goal of creating a unique and revolutionary firm culture that emphasises both premium quality patent counselling and a flexible work environment. Athorus is a vibrant, growing firm with patent attorneys who specialise in developing patent portfolios, preparing and prosecuting patent applications and valuing IP assets for licensing or acquisition. Due to the current demand for its services, Athorus accepts new clients by referral only.
Mr Harris’s areas of expertise include e-commerce, searches, business methods, unmanned aerial vehicles, fulfilment operations, logistics, image processing, automation, device control, digital content delivery, mobile applications and wireless devices.
Before founding Athorus, Mr Harris spent over four years as the director of patents for Amazon. Previously, Mr Harris was a partner at Christensen, O’Connor, Johnson & Kindness PLLC.
Mr Harris is admitted to the Washington State Bar, the California State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar, and is registered to practise before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Mr Harris has been named a world leading patent professional for both patent prosecution and patent licensing in the IAM Patent 1000 for the past five years.
