Zsolt Szentpéteri is the managing partner of SBGK Patent Attorneys and member of the board of SBGK Attorneys at Law and Patent Attorneys, a leading IP law firm in Hungary.
Mr Szentpéteri’s main areas of practice are advising, prosecuting and litigating in patent law, plant variety protection law and utility model law. He represents several multinational firms before the competent Hungarian authorities, including Henkel, Novartis, Eli Lilly and Philip Morris.
Mr Szentpéteri’s main cases include representing Sandoz AG as plaintiff against Pfizer in the sildenafil nullity case (Viagra), and the representation of Novartis AG against generics in the imatinib (Glives) nullity case.
Mr Szentpéteri is a member of the Hungarian Chamber of Patent Attorneys, where he was a member of the board until 2016. He is a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and is the vice president of the Hungarian Group of AIPPI. He is also member of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys and participates in the work of the Ethics and Public Policy Centre.
Mr Szentpéteri is a regular speaker at IP law conferences in Hungary and internationally. He is also the author of various publications within the field of IP law.
