Björn Andersson is a senior partner and board member at Ström & Gulliksson. He is a European patent attorney and an authorised patent attorney in Sweden.
Mr Andersson has been in private practice since 1994. In 1998, Mr Andersson was the firm’s first candidate to pass the European qualifying examination to become a professional representative before the European Patent Office (EPO). His 20-plus years in the profession have made him experienced in opinion work, oppositions, litigation, licensing and technology transfer, strategic IP advice and IP commercialisation. He frequently appears at the Opposition Division and Board of Appeal of the EPO and at national patent courts.
With his background in computer engineering and with prior experience as a software developer, Mr Andersson is particularly well equipped to counsel clients in the field of information and communications technology. Mr Andersson specialises in mobile devices and user interfaces, wireless and cellular communication, computer technology and software, semiconductor devices and digital circuit design, information processing (eg, encoding, compression, cryptography and signal processing) and general mechanics.
