Welcome to the latest edition of IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists, the unique annual listing of individuals with an established track record in developing and rolling out world-class IP value creation programmes. There is no other publication like the IAM Strategy 300 – primarily because there is nothing else out there like Intellectual Asset Management (IAM). We remain the only media platform whose primary focus is on intellectual property as a business asset.Read more
We believe that intellectual property can and should be used to increase bottom-line returns and enhance shareholder value by, among other things, securing freedom to operate, facilitating collaborations and generating revenues. We also believe that none of this is possible without considerable input from people who have a deep understanding of the ways in which intellectual property can most effectively be put to work. These world-class IP strategists do not see intellectual property from just one perspective; instead, they view it in the round. It is this 360-degree perspective on how IP management and value creation should align with overall business strategy that makes them stand out from the crowd.
Since it was first published, the IAM Strategy 300 has identified individuals who offer top-tier services relating to the development and implementation of strategies which enable IP owners to maximise the value of their portfolios. Until last year’s edition, only third-party advisers were listed in the publication; but in 2015 we decided to extend our coverage to additionally include in-house corporate IP professionals – the people working on the front lines of IP value creation. In this way we have made the IAM Strategy 300 an even more invaluable, as well as much bigger, reference point.
All individuals who make the final cut, and who state that they wish to be included, are featured in the IAM Strategy 300 free of charge. Under no circumstances whatsoever is it possible to buy a place in the guide. However, all third-party advisers were offered the opportunity to take out an enhanced biography entry for a fee, while individuals from operating companies were given the opportunity to take out a complimentary biography; some decided to do so, while others declined. All enhanced biographies have been edited into IAM house style – the content of the biographies, however, was supplied by the individuals concerned.
A detailed index which lists the world's leading IP strategists by areas of specialisation can be viewed here. All of the people featured in this guide were asked to identify which areas applied to them. However, it is not always the case that there are easy fits. Therefore, it is important to note that the categories are for guidance purposes only. They are not intended to provide definitive information and should not be used as if they do. If you wish to get a better understanding of what an individual in the IAM Strategy 300 does, it is strongly recommended that you contact that person directly.
